Like most Asian medicine techniques, Reiki uses the principal of Qi (Chi) meaning Life-force, which is universal and therefore present in all living things. I have over 10 years Chan meditation practice under Master Hsing Yun’s monastic order from Fo Guan Shan Temple, a Mahayana Buddhist temple of the Linji Chan School lineage. Besides having a religious based meditation foundation she was also educated under the Emory-Tibet Partnership of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where she received Cognitively-Based Compassion Training, a secular meditation practice to cultivate compassion.
